About Me
Don Caparotti comes from a family with great athletic ability. Growing up he was able to play for several organized sports teams in community athletic programs. While participating in many different sports, he had the opportunity to explore each of them and decide which particular sport he wanted to play when he "grew up." He was lucky enough to have natural talent that complimented his own discipline and skills, many of them instilled in him by his family, friends, teachers, and coaches.
Don was very goal oriented and set many goals to strive towards. Most goals he achieved and some he did not. After deciding football was the sport he enjoyed playing the most, his main goal became to play professional football and have his own football card.
Don set his goals and worked hard to achieve his dream. He received a full athletic scholarship to University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMASS) and, was a 4-year starter. In 1991, Don was nationally ranked #4 for punt returns. In 1992 Don's senior year, he was awarded outstanding defensive player for UMASS and nationally ranked #10 for punt returns. He was named to four All-American football teams. He was the first football player in the schools history to be named consensus All-American.
In 1994 Don had accomplished his dream; he was playing professional football for the Canadian Football League and had a professional football card. He was at the height of football career when he suffered a career-ending injury; turning his life around. The education he had earned at UMASS enabled him to stay in a field comfortable to him; personal training. He decided to make use of all the training he had received from many of the greatest coaches and trainers on the professional level to help others achieve their dreams.
Don became a personal trainer because he gets a great deal of satisfaction from helping people achieve their personal goals; ranging from losing pounds or inches, running faster or longer, making a team or squad, to helping people with their nutritional needs so they can live healthier life styles. Don's role to his clients is now focused on passing on the "dream come true" results that he achieved in his own life. |
